Nagoya, Aichi, Japan｜Ichiran Nagoya Sakae

One of two places that we visited twice during our Feb trip in 2023 because my family loves the ramen. Even the ones who tried it for the first time said it was good. Since our first Ichiran experience many many years ago in Tokyo, it seems the restaurant chain has improved it's service standards and are now more geared towards foreign tourist as well. Staffs were very polite, my wife understands Japanese and said the staffs speak a very polite form of language. The ramen is customisable, hard or soft noodle, spicy or non spicy, more onions no onions, etc etc. Even if you don't understand or speak Japanese, you'll have little trouble ordering. Slot money into the vending machine (pictures and prices shown) and choose your food. Take the ticket and proceed to your table or booth. Fill in the form that customizes your ramen, then the staff collects your form. Wait for your hot bowl of noodle to appear and itadakimasu (enjoy!).

Tried the Ichiran 5 item. The broth is delicious. Self order at the door then at your seat fill out the paper to customize dashi, noodles, spice, onions etc. if you’re hungry expect to order a second serving of noodles. Recommended.

Had the tonkotsu with egg and katame noodles. Was so good I thought I was in Fukuoka.
