We had come to Nagashima Spa Land and on the way back decided to have dinner here. Little did we know that this is a very famous restaurant. I have to say it was the most flavor rich and delicious mazesoba I've ever had. They have so many options for toppings too. They can even make it extra spicy if you want, but I felt it was just the right amount as-is. Very very highly recommend this place. PS: Don't forget to ask for rice (free!) after you're done with your noodles. 😉

What to eat Raman but still want that extreme satisfaction only gained from a full stomach? This is the place for it. This isn't a traditional Raman place, because you're going to be eating the ramen and drinking the soup at the same time due to the richness of the sauce. It's a great choice for me because I usually drink the soup anyways if it doesn't consist of MSG. I ordered a mazerusoba that costs 810 yen. The Taiwanese mazerusoba is 830 yen, and it's a bit spicy. Furthermore, don't worry about the waiting line. They are relatively quick in service after you have ordered it from the machine. The chefs are quite young (20 - 30s) and you can tell that they love their work. No wonder they have been the best Raman shop around the area for 2012 & 2013. I am very grateful for their service because they helped us translate some of the Japanese words in the menu. They are also very friendly people though they were constantly busy working. They thanked us with everyone bowing at the end (maybe that's because they don't get foreign customers very often).

I had Taiwan mazesoba (a noodle dish that is serve with a spicy sauce instead of soup/broth, my description is poor, please look it up...) for the first time here. Apparently, Taiwan mazesoba is a new thing and is getting more and more popular and rightfully so. It’s tastes amazing. It’s about 800 yen for a very nicely portioned bowl. They do offer other types of ramen as well so do not worry if you dislike spicy dishes. I highly recommend to visit one of their shops in Mie or Nagoya. However, prepare yourself because you will most likely have to wait in line.
