HOLY LIFE CHANGING CR*P THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. 10-15 seconds from the station. This is THE BEST (or one of the best) ramen restaurants in Japan. I’ve lived here for 8 years and have yet to find a place that rivals this. My fiancé (Japanese) agrees with me and we regularly make the hour-long trip from our home to eat here. Eat here. GO NOW. Book a ticket and fly here from wherever you are now and eat this majestic bowl of heavenly blessed pork ramen that was brought into this world to challenge the darkness in men’s souls with only its utter grace as protection (SPOILER: It defeated the darkness before lunch and then went to stop genocide in war-torn countries, which it defeated before dinner... and now it awaits you to revel in its victorious splendor at THIS ramen shop.).

I have business in Gyotoku about twice a month, so I visit there every time. The staff has a nice atmosphere and the ramen tastes great. The price is reasonable and not too expensive, and the service coupon you receive every time allows you to receive either a flavored egg, extra egg, or half rice for free from the next time. There are three types of free toppings, and among them, spicy bean sprouts are perfect for Hakata ramen and are a must-try if you don't like spicy foods. (Karashi Takana is quite spicy).

Light Hakata pork bone ramen. I've been going here for over 10 years, and it's always crowded, and it's a stable ramen restaurant with little variation in taste. Although it doesn't have the same strong impact as the authentic Hakata version, you can still enjoy a moderate amount of tonkotsu ramen. Recommended for both lunch and after-drinking drinks.
