Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan｜Marugen Ramen

Our all time favourite since we moved here in Tsukuba. Tantanmen is my personal favorite, but I add more chilli oil and toasted garlic. give it a try

It is a relatively low cost ramen restaurant. The speciality is "niku soba" which is ramen topped with thin sliced pork. They have a few other kinds and they also sell the typical ramen restaurant side dishes of gyoza and fried rice (chahan) as well as fried chicken (karaage) and some ice creams. The chahan is served half cooked on a hot plate, and you mix it yourself as it cooks.

I always order cheap and delicious meat soba, Last week, my wife ate some of the grilled chicken soba and it was delicious, so I ordered the grilled chicken soba! The grilled chicken meatballs and grilled chicken chashu are delicious. The combination of salt, mitsuba and yuzu is exquisite. I ate it all without leaving any juice! Even though it is a chain restaurant, I gave it 5 stars for the taste and price! It was delicious, thank you very much!
