If you want to eat a large amount of rich ramen at a low price, Yamaokaya's lunch set is the way to go! Of course, if you order "noodles with a lot of fat, a lot of flavor", you will be satisfied so much that you don't even need dinner. Of course, the ramen, as well as the set menu gyoza and green onion mayo char siu rice bowl were very delicious. I went there for the first time, but the female clerk who served me was incredibly nice. Other reviews have written about the smell, but it's normal for a pork bone ramen shop, and it's a good place to say that it has a strong taste. The Yamaoka family sells "thick pork bone ramen", isn't it? Let's realize that old people who are not confident in their gastrointestinal tract are entering the wrong store. It is common sense in this day and age to do a preliminary survey before coming to the store. It's important, so I'll say it again, but "Yamaokaya is a store that sells rich and rich ramen". If you want to eat so-called "ordinary" ramen, go to a suitable Chinese restaurant or go to Chinrai. In any case, it is not a shop where elderly people go.
I have eaten at Yamaokaya many times since its establishment. I think the combination of soy sauce ramen and green onion topping is the most delicious. When ordering, choose ``harder noodles, stronger flavor, or more fat'' to experience the best Yamaoka-ya ramen. I've tried various types of noodles with different hardnesses, different flavors, and amounts of fat, but I keep coming back to this combination. Green onions help to balance out the greasy taste. The Yamaoka family regularly tries out new menu items, but most of them are off-the-wall and not very tasty, so I hope they use their development skills to create thick noodles like Jiro Ramen. I also like Jiro ramen and have eaten it quite a bit, but I think it would be super delicious to eat Jiro's thick noodles with Yamaokaya's soup and ingredients.
