Small, old, casual and cozy place that serves noodles, rice and hardly anything else. Nice if you are looking for a authentic and inexpensive eating experience.

Visited late afternoon after 14:00. I asked with 5 people, but the ingredients for lunch were running out, and I was told that I could only make sauce katsudon for three people, so I received a mini sauce katsudon. So-called half size. Just delicious! The store staff kindly guided us. The tonkatsu has a fine and crispy batter, and the sauce is a perfect match for the cutlet and cabbage. Is this the taste of a long-established store with a long history? The included soup has a light Chinese soy sauce flavor. The taste of accompanying fried rice. It resets the sweetness of the sauce in your mouth. This time, I'm worried about whether to settle down and have a normal size sauce katsudon or a half set with Kitakata ramen. There are several parking lots across from the store, but if it's full, it's recommended to use the coin-operated parking lot, which is about 100 meters back on the one-way street in front of the store.

This is Aizuwakamatsu. Fortunately, ``Wakamatsu Shokudo'' was open, so I had some gyoza, a beer, and while I was watching a minor manga by Takao Saito, I was waiting for ``Sauce Katsudon''. There seems to be a story that this shop is where it originated. The thickness of the meat was not too thick, the amount of oil in the coating, the sweet and spicy sauce, and the texture of the steamed cabbage with a little bit of sauce on top of the rice.
