The best eel I’ve ever eaten and the friendliest service at a very affordable price. A hidden gem on the seventh floor of a shopping centre with heaps of variety in their set meals and an extensive English menu. Highly recommended!

Shobara Shokudo uses ingredients from Shobara City, Hiroshima. Both vegetables and rice are produced in Shobara. I had the ``crocodile'' that can only be found in Shobara. Apparently there are times when crocodiles are not in stock, so I was lucky enough to get one when I happened to be in Hiroshima! In Shobara, shark is called crocodile and is a local dish. First time eating crocodile! It's chewy, full of protein, and super delicious! The vegetable salad had blanched crocodile, and the vegetables were sweet, crunchy, and fresh. I was surprised at how crispy the crocodile fries were. The onions in the tartare are also sweet and perfect for frying. For rice, you can choose white rice or mixed grain rice. I can't eat much, so I had my rice cut in half. It is a chewy and flavorful rice. The menu is extensive, so if you're nearby, you'll want to go there every day. There were several types of tonkatsu, and I'm sure they were all delicious with crispy batter, so I'll try the tonkatsu next time (*´꒳`*) Thank you, host, for the delicious meal. If you really want to eat crocodile, it might be a good idea to check in advance. ( ´ ▽ ` )

We often use the evening drink set, which is too affordable. Vegetable heaven, volumey & too delicious! ! The raw vegetables that come with the dish are plentiful, and I'm happy that I can eat a lot of them. Thank you as always ♡
