20 minutes walk from the west exit of JR Shinjuku Station. Along Ome Kaido. It's quite far out of Nishi-Shinjuku, and it's quite far if you try to walk there. I think it would be difficult if your workplace is nearby or if you don't have a means of transportation such as a bicycle. This is a self-service restaurant open 24 hours a day. When you enter the entrance, the first thing you see is a lot of side dishes wrapped in plastic wrap. I haven't counted the types, but I think there were probably 40 types. Choose your favorite side dish from among them (there is no limit to the number), and then finish by verbally ordering rice and miso soup. I pay for the bill later, but when I sit down to eat, the waiter comes after me and issues me a bill while watching me eat...I just don't like it at this moment. but. I ordered rice (large serving), miso soup with bean sprouts, spinach dip, kinpira burdock, mentaiko, and meat and potatoes. As for the taste... well, it's not bad. It's like a side dish sold at a supermarket, nothing more, nothing less. However, when you eat these standard Japanese side dishes for the first time in a while, they taste strangely delicious. I feel like there were a lot more set meal restaurants like this a few years ago, but I don't see them anymore anymore. And table seasonings! There are "Noritama" and "Gomashio"! I grumbled, wondering how many years it had been since I'd eaten furikake rice. The price is 920 yen, and you'll definitely be satisfied. It is said that taste is basically the most important thing when it comes to cooking, but I feel like I have realized that there is something more important than taste. The☆Nostalgic.
You can order individual home-cooked dishes such as fried horse mackerel, pork cutlet, boiled/grilled mackerel, etc., which is helpful. The clerk (female) was very kind and comforting. It seems that there is an all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink option at night.
