More Comments at Google MapA popular set restaurant in town that has been around for over 50 years since the Showa era. What's amazing is that the prices have not increased since then, the portions are reasonable, and the food is made with heart. The menu has a variety of dishes, mainly Western food, so you won't get bored even if you eat it every day. Turkish rice is a nostalgic, simple ketchup rice dish topped with pork cutlet. The pork cutlet with ketchup on it is very Showa-esque. The oil used for frying is good, it's not greasy, and it's delicious and has a nostalgic taste of something you used to eat. The inside of the store can't be called clean, but it has a nice atmosphere, with seats sitting sideways in one row, like something out of a Showa youth drama. The owner and his wife are both elderly, so if you want to eat Western food from the Showa era, you should go early. If you like Western food from Showa era This is a recommended store.
Oshige Shokudo near Meiji University Ikuta Campus and Odakyu Ikuta Station. Kawasaki always ranks high when searching for restaurants. Probably because I came a little late on a weekday afternoon, I was seated right away. I ordered a jumbo chicken cutlet for 800 yen, which had almost no photos. I was imagining a jumbo chicken cutlet, but I was overwhelmed by the large serving of rice. There was tonkatsu sauce on the counter, but there was no dressing or mustard, so I was just eating it, when a kind person said, ``It's here,'' and when I turned around, it was in the huge refrigerator. With the help of a small bowl and pickled radish, I ended up eating just the cutlet because I didn't have enough rice. The strong barley tea mentioned in the reviews is really strong and you can still enjoy it by having it between meals. By the way, jumbo is said to be a large serving of rice. It was very delicious.
It's a set meal restaurant with only counter seats and looks a little old, but I think it's really good. The set meal menu is also abundant and filling.
