Kawagoe, Saitama, Japan｜Yamada Udon

For me, Yamada Udon's standard menu is miso ramen with lots of vegetables (one side of noodles) and mini curry. Also at Kinome store

I visit several times a month. Compared to Yamada Udon 40 years ago, the menu has changed a lot since then. The customer seems to have increased the family layer. I am grateful that the atmosphere in the store remains the old-fashioned calm feeling. Feeling that both soba and soup have been upgraded. Especially gyoza and curry have changed. delicious. The set menu that hasn't changed from before is nostalgic and delicious as ever. The pork and kimchi rice bowl set has been a staple for a long time. Fried rice is old. I love Yamada Udon's fried rice, so I'm grateful. I thought that the kakiage rice bowl would have hard, freshly fried kakiage on top, but instead it was wrapped in an egg, and it was so soft and delicious. I didn't know until recently. Good to know. When I was young, I used to order a large serving of noodles with a pork kimchi rice bowl set and add dumplings, but I can't do it now. However, the menu has expanded. Recently, you have opened a new store specializing in tanmen. I have to check that too. I will go again. Thank you for the meal.
