I stopped by Yamada Udon Shokudo Toyomachi branch for the first time for lunch on the way to work. It's a chain store, so there aren't any big differences between stores, but unlike the more stylish Yamada Udon Shokudo restaurants that have been popping up recently, the store's traditional atmosphere makes me feel nostalgic. I ordered a set of kakiage-don and udon noodles, since Yamada Udon Shokudo is known for its kakiage-don. A famous bowl of rice that has not changed since ancient times, made with kakiage, seasoned with a sweet sauce, and covered with an egg. Every time I eat it, I feel like it's Saitama prefecture's soul food. Next time, I would like to try the punch set meal, which I think is a specialty along with the kakiage bowl.

I felt like they were a little understaffed. It took a long time for the food to arrive. However, the lunch was delicious and I don't think it was a big problem. Thank you for the meal.
