Fujikawaguchiko, Yamanashi, Japan｜Syokudo and Teishoku restaurant

One of the best meals we’ve had in Japan and very good value! Would definitely recommend if you are looking to try the local cuisine with the confidence it is great quality food. It is incredibly fresh and authentic. We had the Tenzaru (tempura prawn and vegetables with soba noodles) and Katsudon (rice bowl topped with fried pork cutlet and egg). Family run restaurant, they are very friendly but limited English. Menu is also in Japanese but nothing google translate or images can’t fix.

This restaurant is amazing, it was so good we went two nights in a row. It's a family run business and they are the friendliest people. The food was amazing and is a great place by the station to get some authentic food for an absolutely amazing price. Plus, if you sit in the right spot you have a nice view of Mt. Fuji. I highly recommend this place!

Small mom and pops restaurant. The quality and authenticity are there. The food was amazing and it was not expensive. The staff were super polite, knew a bit of english and had an english menu. I would highly recommend it.
