More Comments at Google MapThis restaurant has the feel of a ``Showa student town cafeteria'' that has remained intact. Everything is left as it was in the Showa era. So, that alone is enough to give it five stars! The dish that seems to be the most talked about on the internet is the "Beef Yakiniku and Chicken Katsu" (1000 yen). Both the beef yakiniku and chicken cutlet were so exciting and delicious that my brain was blown away. My thought circuit was short-circuited. It's these set meals that evoke the nostalgia of us middle-aged people. It's a popular restaurant from the Showa era, but since it's a college town, many young people come here. I think that popularity is permanent and is surely passed down from senior to junior.
My grandfather keeps saying thank you for everything, and I am truly grateful for that. The food was delicious and plentiful, and it gave me a boost of energy as I was living alone while studying abroad. My personal top three are garlic yakiniku, grated chicken, and pork kimchi. After ordering pork kimchi twice, the old man forgot to prepare the kimchi, so he became a regular customer and started chatting with me. He is always busy at lunchtime, and the old man keeps saying, ``I'm tired!'' and at dinner time, ``I'm lonely because there aren't any customers.'' The grandfather had been running this store for over 50 years. Sometimes we talk about the past: ``There used to be a bathroom in this area, so customers often came here at night.'' Not to be defeated by the coronavirus, Japan has finally recognized the coronavirus as a Type 5 infectious disease. I'm sure grandpa will be happy!
This is a set meal restaurant that I frequented 33 years ago when I was a student. I went for the chicken cutlet curry. I ate a huge amount of food, but I still can't get enough of it. 750 yen too. Set meals started at 650 yen. After all, my conscience is my enemy. I was happy to see that my father was doing well too. I've only eaten set meals here because the amount of rice bowls served here is for students. I ordered chicken cutlet curry and it was ridiculously delicious. I want to go back 30 years.
