More Comments at Google Maprecommended by our hotel, the OneFive Garden Hotel, this place is almost impossible to find. Go down the little path to the left of the open lot on the corner, and to the right of the storefront with the rolling steel doors, and around the backside of the building. Watch your step in the dark. There are some very uneven flag stones. We ate at the counter facing the tiny kitchen, and didn't realize that there was an upstairs dining area until later. We shared a serving of cold, cooked salmon, and side dishes of eggplant and tofu. it was all delicious and subtle. It seems like it is a family run place, and they were very patient with our "Google translate" assisted questions and ordering, but I wouldn't say that we knew exactly what we were going to be eating until it arrived in front of us. We would gladly eat here again!
Enjoyed a great Japanese lunch served by the friendly staffs here👍🏻 I recommend their fried crab-cream croquette ball ❤️
First visit for lunch. A system in which you enter the store by receiving a numbered ticket lined up in front of the store. There are only 50 groups available for lunch, so we recommend going early on Saturdays and Sundays. I arrived around 11:10am and had to wait about 20 minutes. I ordered a set meal of the famous crab cream croquette and stewed hamburger steak. For rice, I chose chestnut rice. This set includes a main dish, 2 side dishes, rice, and miso soup. The crab cream croquette is not overly seasoned and is just delicious. The stewed hamburger steak is also delicious with just the right amount of stewing. The menu says it's a large set meal. I think it's not that much, but just the right amount. Chestnut rice 🌰 also has a lot of chestnuts and is delicious. I want to go again someday. The atmosphere is retro and stylish. Next time, maybe at night.
