Gifu, Japan｜Yayoiken

Decently priced meal that is moderately bland. Had to use a lot more spice and peppers to give it more "life". The eel was really delicious though! One of the best places for eel that I've been to in Japan. :D

Affordable. Quality food. This location's Yayoiken is clean, new and bright. This restaurant serves traditional Japanese fare (teishoku) as well as Japanese soul food such as hamburg steak, tonkatsu and etc. I personally love teishoku so I order my favorite set with grilled fish, soup, sashimi, okra-natto-tororo, assorted side dish, egg and rice. I can eat all of this for only 800¥~. Another great point about Yayoiken is that you can get unlimited rice refills and pickled toppings to go with it if you have a big appetite.

Service was quick and the food was great!
