Ogaki, Gifu, Japan｜Yataitei

I go to the Mino area about twice a year from outside the prefecture, but I stay in Ogaki because I want to stop by Yatai-tei. The first time I visited was about 7 years ago, and the friendly master will talk to you at the perfect time, so you can have a fun time even if you stop by alone. Even though okonomiyaki is the signature dish, the master says, ``You shouldn't eat it (because you probably won't be able to finish it),'' which is kind of a compliment. We are planning to visit tomorrow as well. When I visited, I was worried that I wouldn't be able to finish all the okonomiyaki by myself, but the photo is of the okonomiyaki (squid balls) that I persuaded the master to make for me. Also, all the part-time workers here are charming, and the foreigners work hard, so I think you'll be able to spend a pleasant night in Ogaki.

I ordered an all-you-can-drink menu for ¥ 3850. With 11 additional items, there was a lot of volume and I couldn't finish it, so I took it home. I also received some souvenirs. It tasted good and I was very satisfied. It gets crowded, so it's better to make a reservation.

It's been about 4 years since I started going here, and the owner is friendly and it's a fun place to spend time. Recommended!
