Tochigi, Japan｜Farm Deli

Farm Deli served delicious, healthy meals over the course of several days for over 50 people on the US Women’s Pony Baseball team. The bento boxes for breakfast and lunch were good and varied. The staff was immensely courteous to us at all times and adjusted some orders for my teenagers who can be picky eaters. For our dinners, the owner oversaw all of our meals and has put together several wonderful combinations of food. The breads provided were fresh and best served warm. The restaurant is very clean and bright. If you are near Tochigi Station or staying at the hotel, come here for a great meal!

Chihiro, a popular French patisserie in Utsunomiya, has a delicatessen in front of Tochigi Station. You can create a colorful plate by choosing a few from the salad deli. The main dish I chose was grilled chicken and tartar sauce, and the sauce was really delicious. For those who want to eat more meat, there is also a slightly better meat menu for an additional 100 or 200 yen. I felt that the quality was higher than the price. Furthermore, a set that comes with a cake might be a great deal. Since October, we have rebranded the store as FARMDELI. It looks like the menu structure has changed a bit. I wonder if the photo of the FARMDELI plate is from that time.

Light deli plate for 1,500 yen with main + 3 side dishes. The vegetables are very delicious, and there are many types of drinks to choose from. It may seem like there aren't many main dishes, but they serve plenty of side dishes, so you'll be full. It's also a good place to have tea while waiting for your train in front of the station. (There are many counter seats facing the large windows, so you can relax while watching people go by.)
