Mashiko, Tochigi, Japan｜作坊 吃 (ゾーファンチィ)

Asian-ethnic menu. In a New-Age environment? And the 2nd Saturday evening of each month is "English speaking only" night.

A hideaway cafe deep in the mountains of Mashiko. Follow the signs and follow the narrow winding mountain road to a gravel road. Are you really here? As you drive along the gravel road, you will see a signboard on the right side of the road. There is a parking lot in front of the store, but there are three compartments. The exterior of the shop is a wooden building with a tin roof, and the exterior walls and fittings are self-built. The interior was full of handmade feeling and unique sense, and it was a wonderful healing space. Orders are paid in advance and paypay can be used. There are 4 desks including two seats. Four groups are full. The uniquely arranged Asian food is filled with plenty of vegetables. I visited just after the end of the rainy season in the summer of 2023. It was a very hot day and although there is no air conditioning it was comfortable. It was a shop I would like to visit again if I have the opportunity.

I'm a little nervous until I get to the store (lol), and there aren't any fancy facilities nearby. Homemade signboards will guide you here and there, but if you have a navigation system, it would be wiser to just rely on it 🤲´- There is also a small signboard at the entrance. I might still miss it💦 Happiness will spread if you muster up the courage to enter ♡ We had “Khao Soi” and “Homemade Ginger Ale” which are limited to fall and winter😋 It has an authentic scent. And delicious! On the other hand, people who don't like scents (lemongrass, celery, etc.) may find it difficult. The ginger ale was the most delicious I've ever had 😋 It's a so-called craft ginger ale, but it doesn't have a strong taste, but it's definitely ginger! There are limited menus and many menu items that you don't usually see, including drinks, so I don't think you'll get bored even if you go there many times. Rather, just stop by and find your favorite menu! That's the guy (lol) It was delicious 😋 Thank you for the meal (*˙˘˙*)ஐ
