Hamamatsu, Shizuoka, Japan｜うなぎの又一(またいち)

I didn't get to eat here myself, but my family managed to and they all said it was very good! My sis said she will not eat unagi back home again now that she tasted really good Japanese unagi. Specialty unagi restaurants are usually small businesses and staffs don't speak or understand English. Despite that my family managed to eat here without reservation so I guess the owner is accommodating to foreigners. There's a wait while the unagi is prepared, but the wait was worth it. Uniquely, unagi liver and bones are served in Japan. I did get to sample the liver and bone, and I liked both. I can only imagine how good the unagi is. This is going to be on my list the next time I return to Hamamatsu.

Interior was that of a traditional Japanese restaurant. Counter, table, and tatami seating was available. The unagi set was balanced, flavorful and filling. The staff is very friendly and made the experience even better.

Although it was a take-out order, the price also included the liver soup, and the sauce came in a container where you could add the depth of flavor to your preference.The restaurant's friendly spirit was evident. The response from the shop was also very pleasant. We will use you again.
