This is my second visit in two years on a Saturday, one week before the 2022 Doyo Ushi Day. This is a long-established eel restaurant located right between Shimizu Station and Shin-Shimizu Station, and is my favorite eel restaurant that I only come to when I go home. This time, in addition to Unajyu, I really wanted to try Shirayaki, so I had the luxury of eating it once every two years. The order of serving was just right, and I had the half grilled eel with beer as an appetizer and a refreshing wasabi, followed by the delicious eel with plenty of Japanese pepper. The eel had a perfect balance of elegant sweet sauce and tender meat, and I vowed to come back next year to eat this eel again.
