As soon as you open the lid of Shigenoya in Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, the aroma of Binchotan charcoal fills the air. The scent of charcoal is too strong, but it hits you after a few days, and you can enjoy the eel happiness for many days. Recommended when visiting the Numazu sightseeing spot "Senbonhama Park".

I'm walking around eating eel. This time we visited Shigenoya. Last time I visited, I couldn't go in because it was temporarily closed, but after reading everyone's reviews, I was very interested, so I visited again. This time, we were open as usual. Perhaps by chance, there were only two groups of customers entering the restaurant, and I ordered the unagijutsuma and my daughter ordered the unagiju. Honestly, it will take some time to provide it. The unagiju finally arrived in about 30 minutes (^^) I took a bite and the aroma spread in my mouth. “Yeah!” the words came out of my mouth. When I put it in my mouth, I could understand why it took so long to get it served.I felt that the food was carefully cooked. I found a store that I would like to visit again♪ Thank you 😭

I ordered the special Unaju (7,200 yen for 2 fish) with less rice. The eel meat had a charcoal aroma, was neither hard nor soft, and had no bones, so it was delicious. The sauce was not too sweet and I was able to finish it until the end without getting bored. Liver soup and pickles are also good. Very satisfied. I think you can be satisfied with the upper eel (1.5 eel 5200 yen). Second visit. Today I ordered upper eel ju (5400 yen). It was 200 yen higher than last time. It's still delicious. The charcoal aroma makes it melt in your mouth, and the sauce is just right for me. I brought my parents with me, and both of them ate the entire meal (less eel and rice) and said it was delicious. I'm satisfied.
