More Comments at Google MapOn a cold night, I wandered around this typical Japanese town to see if there was anything worth taking a photo of. When I was suffering from hunger and cold, there happened to be an eel rice restaurant that came into view. The entrance porch is very Japanese style. I thought, go in and make a meal, take a rest by the way, and recover my strength. When I entered, I was the only customer in the store, and there were three people behind the counter, a young lady, an uncle, and an old woman. "Cash only" and "Those who don't understand Japanese, please bring a friend who understands Japanese" are posted on the side of the counter. At that time, I thought it was because I encountered the old-fashioned, serious and stern shop in the legend, but I came to Japan for the first time, and I didn't know a little Japanese and Japanese etiquette, so I was scared and even worried that I would be kicked out. And the truth is just the opposite. Although I don't understand English, the store received me very warmly, and I also used translation software to communicate with the store staff. Because the seat is a traditional Japanese style, I don't know how to use it, and the lady taught me how to sit on it. Because I haven't eaten a lot, I can't say whether it is authentic or not. But dare I say it, the unagi rice is delicious. The eel is cooked just right, and the salty and sweet sauce soaks from the eel to the rice with plump grains and moderate hardness, which is very comfortable. Add a little fragrant sansan pepper with lemon aroma to get rid of the greasy, which is the icing on the cake. My appetite is quite large. A half eel I bought cost about 6,000 yen plus tax. I was very full after eating, and the portion was super generous. Halfway through I ate, some locals also came to eat and greeted the store. It seemed to be a store that locals would go to. I told the old lady that it was delicious in the Japanese I am learning, and the old lady was very happy.
The best unagi! It melts in your mouth. Just thinking about it makes me hungry and wants to go back.🤤
The unagi was delicious, eventhough have to wait 30 minute and no english menu.
