Fujikawaguchiko, Yamanashi, Japan｜うなぎ割烹力

This is a small, family-run unagi (eel) rice restaurant. We ordered deluxe (特上) and premium (上), both were amazing, the deluxe unagi was thicker and fatter. We also ordered deep fried octopus, tomato salad and tofu salad. All the food was great, service was friendly, the place was clean and comfortable. All seats are on tatami style (sitting on the floor mat). There are not a lot of parking spaces (5?) and do note the restaurant closes at 8pm, so many food was sold out when we arrived at 7pm.

The best Unagi-don I have ever eaten so far. The Unagi meat was so soft and tasty. It had the taste of smoke and soy sauce. It was served hot as they only cooked after you ordered.Suitable for a cool weather in Kawaguchi-ko. The Unagi bones was crunchy and it was perfect if you eat them with beer. The unagi-don is a little bit pricy and the restaurant is far from the station so if you don’t mind walking, u better try this out.

It's a local restaurant and location is inside the residential village. Pricing is at the higher side but it's worth the visit as the Unagi rice bowl taste is really good.
