Kuwana, Mie, Japan｜Darumaunagi Tado Honten

Very delicious Unagi restaurant.

I went at the same time as the store opened on Sunday night, but about 5 groups entered the store at the same time. I had a hard time deciding between a set meal of eel, tempura, and sashimi, or just one eel, but I chose the famous hitumabushi grilled eel. A single eel costs 4,000 yen, which is a bargain compared to the price around Nagoya Station. It was my first time to eat shirayaki, where you can enjoy the natural taste of eel, but it was a bit sad to me as it was, so I preferred it with the accompanying salt sauce. It was quite delicious. I would like to visit again and have the Ageuma Gozen Kaunadon this time.

I went there for lunch before going to Tado Taisha. I went there just for the hitsumabushi, but it was just delicious! I ate Ageuma Gozen, and the hitsumabushi, tempura, and sashimi were delicious. I want to go again!
