Onomichi, Hiroshima, Japan｜satie（bar,coffee）

The most amazing coffee experience I've ever had. It's not hyperbole to say that this was almost a religious experience. A tiny, hidden room (8 people max) next to the railway line. It is like walking in to a medieval church, dark, lots of wood, a few bulbs hanging here and there but very dim. Musical instruments and score sheets everywhere. The owner is also a Cellist. Playing in the background is the most beautiful classical music, there's no other sound apart from the occasional rumble of a train passing by right outside. Please don't go here to chat with your friends or play with your phone. This is a place to sit silently and watch this man make incredible coffee and then drink that incredible coffee in silence whilst listening to the glorious music. I have never felt so relaxed while having a cup of coffee. If you are in Onomichi and you can appreciate someone who clearly has mastered his profession, then go to this place. It's like nowhere else I've been to. Absolutely amazing.

Best Coffee Shop with best atmosphere I've ever been in Japan. It is hard to find, but dont give up. Oh, and the owner does everything alone. No other employees since it is very small shop. Please be patience and wait to order or for your order.
