Hinohara, Tokyo, Japan｜Cafe Kana Kana

If you’ve climbed this route up to lake Okutama, you’ve probably passed this spot either on the way up or down. It’s often too early or too late into the ride to stop so it takes a bit of pre planning to really enjoy this location. That said the atmosphere is great with the sound of the water nearby. The gentleman operating the cafe is super friendly and he makes a fantastic cheeseburger! It pairs great with an iced coffee or coke. Bike parking is plentiful and there is enough seating even for a group. There were seven of us and he still had the food out quickly. Great stop!

Found that Cafe that looks like an American Diner totally at random while touring in Okutama. We didn't know if it was open at first but it was and the owner is really nice. Grab a homemade burger, a Coke, a cheesecake and taste the nice coffee while your bike is cooling down. It's a perfect touring/adventure experience.

Went there today and enjoyed the hotdog and pastrami beef sandwich. Tasted GREAT. Nice place! Very comfortable and relaxing with a nice view and the sound of the river below. Owner was really nice and cheerful. Good place to stop for a break along the road.
