More Comments at Google MapEvery time I traverse the Tamagawa river, I always drop by here for lunch. It was an accidental discovery last year while searching for a restaurant nearby. The menu changes and the food served is sumptuous. I keep coming back! Try their craft cola it's the best. You can also unwind in front with the rice fields during summer and tulips during spring. The staff was also very friendly even if I barely speak any Japanese. ☺️
A charming local café surrounded by ricefields and is next to the river. There is lots of natural sunlight beaming through, and beautiful Aretha Franklin records were playing while I could hear the staff chatting cheerily to their regular customers. You can tell it’s a community-driven cafe which is so wonderful to see. It was such a happy positive atmosphere and I’m so glad that I went. The menu isn’t super varied, but there are different lunches and dessert cakes available. I went around 1:30-2pm and the lunch plates nearly run out, so I recommend you go before peak times.
It is a quaint cafe that refurbished an old watermill. Small music LIVE and skits are occasionally held. The background music in the store is a record connected to a vacuum tube amplifier, which helps create the atmosphere of the store. Both the lunch curry and the dessert cake and coffee were very delicious with a gentle taste that made me feel the warmth of handmade. It's a little far from the station, but there's an old shrine, rice fields, and a tulip field in front of the shop in spring. No matter what season you visit, you will have a wonderful time.
