2023.9/23 I came to the cafe at Lake Tanzawa, which has good reviews. Beef bowl 600, beef curry 600, mixed sandwich 400, coffee 350. The beef bowl is a bowl full of rice, and the curry is a bowl of roux with an average amount of roux in it, so ¥600 for both is a great deal. There are a lot of mixed sandwiches for 400, and the coffee is delicious! wonderful! ! Although the store is old, it is kept very clean overall, and even the window glass is clean and very clean.

I parked my car in the free parking lot and was looking for a place to have lunch while walking around Lake Tanzawa, and found a retro coffee shop along the road. The menu signboard at the entrance said 600 yen for beef curry and 350 yen for coffee. Usually, it is run by an elderly couple, but since it was past lunchtime and the restaurant was empty, the elegant wife was in charge of it alone. I ordered a large serving of beef curry, but the normal serving was quite large, and the large serving was even more hearty and I thought I could eat it. What surprised me was that the roux was large, and it was cheap, so I didn't expect it, but the roux was delicious and there was a lot of beef, so I was able to finish the large rice that I was worried about. When I looked over the counter, I saw a dripper, a coffee mill, and a coffee siphon. So, I went home with a surprisingly authentic 350 yen coffee (even the price is Showa era!). It was a very satisfying shop and I wanted to stop by again.

It opens at 8:30 a.m., so it's easy to stop by if you're driving early in the morning or traveling. (Many restaurants open around 10-11 a.m.) The interior has the atmosphere of a coffee shop from the good old days, reminiscent of the Showa era, and I think some people may feel nostalgic. I appreciate that the price is also reasonable.
