Hakone, Kanagawa, Japan｜Café Ryusenkei

Cute little cafe in a converted Airstream. The coffee was really good, one of the best I've had in the area. The owner put a lot of effort into making it cozy. He was also very friendly and chatty so we enjoyed spending time there

A short walk from the Open Air Museum we stumbled across this very unique and quaint café. We both had matcha lattes and chatted with fellow travelers as they came in. Our drinks were great and others commented on their coffees. If you're in need of a coffee hit along your Hakone journey, then make sure you stop by and have a chat.

Wasn't expecting to have the best coffee I've had in Japan in an airstream in mountainous Hakone but here we are. An amazing relaxing time spent on a rainy afternoon having a toasted sandwich and an incredible coffee and a lovely chat with the friendly owner. An absolute hidden gem an I hope to come back again at some point.
