More Comments at Google MapThis café is a bit hard to come across if you are not going there intentionally, but if you go you will be pleased with the quality of their food and coffee. The café specialises in drinks and food with amakoji, which is a Japanese fungus used for fermenting rice and other food. The building is nicely designed with a minimalist aesthetic and very relaxing atmosphere. I would say that everything was well selected with good taste in its design. They also have goods on sale, but I didn’t look into them. Definitely recommended if you’re in the area.
The nicely designed little house/cafe/clothing store is tucked in a deep local residential area away from major Kamakura area. Once you find the place, you will enjoy the building, location, nature, air, food and everything else they offer. The place is owned by a rice farmer from Fukui and their food is made with rice Koji. You might also enjoy trying to put on their denim and t-shirt lines that are designed for use in farming.
It stands quietly in a place that makes you wonder if it really exists in such a place. Please proceed steadily along the path in the residential area. I had the "shaved ice set" for lunch. In terms of price, it feels like a dinner, but when I tried it, I understood well that it was worth it. Although it is Japanese food, it has a taste that you have never eaten before. Coupled with the atmosphere of the shop, it was a mysterious time where my tongue and stomach were applauding while relaxing my mind and body. The shaved ice was elaborately made to imitate the set meal, and the taste was often changed, which made me groan. In addition, the "soybean paste butter dorayaki" that I ate at home as a souvenir is also excellent. Immerse yourself in the afterglow.
