This shop has the atmosphere of a long-established French cafe, located a little east of Mt. Okura and into a residential area. The interior of the restaurant is mainly made up of tables with one four-seater, four two-seater tables, and several counter seats. Antique plates and cups from Meissen and Royal Copenhagen, Baccarat, and other antiques are displayed here and there, giving it a nice taste. This time I had the Elm Blend, which is a blend of 8 types of beans. It is carefully extracted using flannel drip, and has an oily yet clear texture. The aroma is complex, with notes of milk cream, orange, berries, nuts, etc., creating a luxurious stollen-like blend. It was a delicious coffee with a smooth texture and a gentle bitterness that felt like milk was mixed in. The pasta looks delicious too, so I'd like to try it if I have a chance.
It's a lovely cafe with a very nice Art Nouveau atmosphere. Coffee and tea are a bit pricey at 600-700 yen per cup, but you can forget about the time and spend a relaxing time there. I am grateful that there is a cafe like this in Okurayama. It's an oasis in the city. I am allergic to tobacco, so my only concern is that smoking is allowed. There didn't seem to be anyone smoking when I arrived, so I didn't notice any smell.
