What do you need in the frozen wasteland of the Tokyo suburbs as January turns to February? Comfort and joy, that's what, and it's hard to think of a better spot to grab a dose of both those things than Houbi Ichigo, a tiny, family-run farm-to-cup cafe specialising in delicious things made from the strawberries grown by the owner's mum and dad in Saitama. I visited their second shop, tucked away down a side street in Chitose Funabashi but well worth seeking out

Great place to enjoy strawberry shakes, smoothies, etc.

Strawberry smoothie, 600 yen. delicious. There seem to be several fields, but the main one is in Numawada. If you have a few people, you can sit inside the store and enjoy it.
