Asaka, Saitama, Japan｜Segafredo Zanetti Espresso Shop KITA-ASAKA

This is not a boutique coffee experience, but a great reliable chain that I use here in Japan, as well as in Italy. The coffee is a step up from other chains, but mostly I go for their seasonal drinks (even though they are invariably loaded with way more sugar than I need!). The staff are very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Very relaxed atmosphere and nice outdoor seating. There is no tobacco stench which is awesome. Some coffee shops and restaurants here still allow smoking...the food is also reliable, and quite fresh...oh, and they serve alcohol if you’re into that. I’m currently not, but try me in summer when beer seems to take on an almost mythical level of attractiveness...it’s the overall experience that deserves 5 stars, not one thing particularly. A really great place to sit and contemplate awhile.
