Kumagaya, Saitama, Japan｜Place Coffee

Take the escalators all the way to the top of Kumagaya station to find this hidden gem. Excellent coffee at a reasonable price. Great atmosphere too. Looks very kid/family friendly too. Every time I've been here it's been quiet and not busy at all. Haven't had any of the food yet so can't comment there.

This cafe is my go-to on my Thursday lunch break. The coffee here has a really unique taste that really shines through and the lunch set is an incredibly good price at only around 1000 yen. The atmosphere is very nice considering it's in a shopping mall, it feels quite sleek with a good mixture of natural woods and grey concrete. I always feel welcome by the staff, and my not-so-perfect Japanese has always been responded to with patience and kindness.

Excellent quality coffee; both drip & latte. Plenty of seats available on a weekday afternoon.
