Nice cafe with old Japanese styling. Number of unique coffees available. Donuts include ice cream with ground coffee sprinkles on top. A little pricey.

It's one of my favorite cafes, and I visited it again for the first time in a while in mid-September ☕ It was previously featured on a popular TV program. What I always order is zenzai, which is a rice cake that you grill yourself in a hibachi placed on the table. Served with piping hot zenzai made with plenty of Dainagon from Tanba, a nicely grilled rice cake is served. As someone who loves red beans, I can’t resist it 😍 You can get special coffee, such as a menu that changes monthly, so I like to have it with zenzai ☕ There is a coin parking nearby, and Lake Biwa is also within walking distance, so we recommend taking a trip to Lake Biwa after eating and drinking. I will go again. Thank you for the meal~✨

This is a cafe that you must stop by on your way back from visiting Yoshinakaji Temple. It's a row of temples. I always relax alone. The coffee here is delicious even without sugar or milk. Today I enjoyed pizza and Colombia (HOT mug). postscript Today (July 30, 2020), I stopped by on my way back from visiting Yoshinakaji Temple, and it was closed. It seems that we will reopen from 10am on August 2nd. postscript I stopped by today (August 6, 2020) on my way back from visiting Yoshinakaji Temple. I ate butter chicken curry and relaxed with a Colombian mug while snacking on donuts for dessert. Butter chicken curry is a light and flavorful dish with an irresistible crunch from the ginger. The donut is served with ice cream, and when you sprinkle it with finely ground Colombian powder, it takes on a mysterious transformation. Enjoy it once! postscript I was on my way back from visiting Yoshinakaji Temple. (September 6, 2020) For me, spending time at the old folk house cafe SORA is a luxurious time. This time the menu was the same as last time, but I think I'll try the pizza next time. Since it was a weekday, the store was relatively empty, so I took some photos inside. Drinking delicious coffee in an old folk house with a sense of history makes it even more delicious. postscript I stopped by on my way back from visiting Yoshinaka-ji Temple on a day with crisp autumn skies (October 1, 2020). Today I had a pizza/margarita and a Colombian mug. Freshly baked pizza is delicious! For dessert after the meal, we had ice cream topped with coffee bean powder. My style is to enjoy the original taste of ice cream by eating it without ice cream at first, and then to enjoy the change in taste by adding coffee bean powder afterwards. 😋 postscript I stopped by on my way back from visiting Yoshinakaji Temple on November 3, 2020 (Culture Day). This time I had a Colombian mug and a ham sandwich. The mustard was the secret ingredient and it was delicious. 😋 Shime is an ice cream that is eaten with coffee bean powder sprinkled on top. For the first time, I sat at a counter seat facing the outside. It's quite atmospheric. On the way back, I went to see Lake Biwa. You can reach the lakeside in less than 10 minutes from the cafe. postscript I stopped by today (December 1st) on my way back from visiting Yoshinakaji Temple. I was happy that I was able to get the chicken curry that I was looking for since it was a weekday. After dinner, you can't miss Colombia and ice cream 😋 Postscript (February 4th) I visited Gichuji Temple on the 5th of January, but the cafe was not open. It's busy on Saturday I feel sorry for lonely people like me. The cheesecake was delicious, but I forgot to take a photo. I had a Colombian mug and an Ethiopian one. Ethiopia is a wonder (beyond thought and discussion)😋 I would like to visit you on a weekday in March. A friend who lives in Miyazaki Prefecture highly praised SORA. Weekdays are recommended for a relaxed cafe feel. I was able to enjoy the last bowl of the chicken curry I was looking for.
