Hino, Shiga, Japan｜向町cafe

Amazing!!! I read past reviews and was a little worried (maybe past owners?) but this place is Amazing! Beautiful old wooden Japanese building, amazing salad plate and 1 staff working but super friendly. No hot coffee when I visited but the hot tea is fantastic! I really recommend stopping here for lunch if you're in the area.

Go to a cafe that will make you feel like you have traveled back in time to a retro world! ＼(^o^)／ An old folk cafe in front of the bus stop. I didn't realize how wonderful this place was until I actually went there just by reading the reviews. The old-fashioned Singer sewing machine has a nice retro feel. This is a place that makes you feel like you have traveled back in time, like the early Showa era. There are tatami seats and table seats. The lunch plate consists of Koshihikari rice from Hino and a side dish of vegetables for 1,100 yen. The drink menu looks like this. I've arrived. Isn't this one plate of vegetables amazing? If it comes with miso soup at this price, you'll have your hands full and it's the best value for money. And each one is delicious. The lady at the shop that makes them is a beautiful person with a great atmosphere. It's amazing that he made all this by himself. The old fashioned pudding was also great. Mukaimachi pudding 350 yen. I can't believe this price. It's my favorite pudding with lots of caramel. I wonder if the price has stopped at the early Showa era? I want to go again. A place where you can really enjoy the atmosphere...a special restaurant that you really want to keep a secret.
