We picked 10 sprigs of tea each. I balanced a traditional conical straw hat on my head- great shade! Our tea was quickly made into delicious tempura and served with tea, a sweet etc. At the end we could wat the tea leaves that were used for brewing. The tea is a bit bitter. The staff member who attended to us was charming informative, (Japanese language) and friendly. I would go back just to be served cheerfully by her! We also tried sparkling tea (Japanese cider/sparkling water+ tea/cha + sweetener = “shider”) it was refreshing but a bit pricy. We relaxed on tatami seating surrounded by antiques and crafts. For two, the experience was about ¥2800.

Lovely place. The owners of a green tea plantation also have this little cafe (for lack of a better word) filled with Kabuse Tea flavored desserts. “Kabuse Tea” is Yokkaichi’s local method of making green tea. Pictured are some of their retro things, a marvelous Kabuse tea kaki gori (shaved ice), the tea fields, and friendly dog Chataro.

● Cover tea ice 900 yen ● Hojicha ice cream 900 yen ● Hojicha tea bag 30 packs 648 yen I visited Kabusecha Cafe, which I've always wanted to visit, to eat shaved ice✨ This is only open for [Thursday], [Friday] and [Saturday]✨ I usually don't choose Japanese shaved ice, but Kabusecha Cafe's shaved ice was so delicious that it ranked high 💕 The kabusecha had a rather astringent taste, and the sweetness was modest. Hojicha was also moderately sweet and had a flavor of hojicha, both of which were so delicious that it was hard to decide which one to choose. Kabusecha is frozen Kabusecha, and Hojicha is shaved from frozen Hojicha. The red bean paste was not too sweet and was well cooked, and it went well with the shaved ice. The roasted brown rice was crispy and fragrant, and the texture and flavor were strange, and it was quite delicious! ️ By the way, it takes about 3 days to freeze the ice at Kabusecha Cafe☺️ For eat-in, tea and roasted brown rice come separately, but for take-out (800 yen), brown rice is served from the beginning, and tea is not included✨ Also, the eat-in is pottery, but the take-out is served in a black plastic cup. ⚠️ shaved ice is available until the end of September. The hojicha tea bag I bought for home use was fragrant and deep, and it was a full-fledged hojicha💕 I want to repeat shaved ice and tea bags💕 〜Eat-in〜 2 seater x 2 4 seater x 3 ~Take-out~ 4 seater x 2
