Takashima, Shiga, Japan｜蔵カフェFleurs de mars

Stumbled across this café while walking along the streets. We were warmly greeted by the owner and got terrace seats with a nice view of Lake Biwa. The lunch set is very affordable, so we also got dessert after. The owner is really really kind, talking to us about local ingredients that were used in the cooking, telling us about the architecture of the building. We were also invited to go onto the second floor to enjoy the scenery. Can only recommend this place.

This was one of our favourite cafés around Lake Biwa! You can sit outside and have a view of the lake. The owner is very friendly and the coffee/tea and cake set is super delicious and priced reasonably. I want to come back ☺️
