Kyoto, Japan｜hatoba cafe

Great place to slow down, sit, and have long, relaxed conversations over coffee or tea. Read a book. Write. There’s so much space in this cafe which is quite rare in Kyoto. Finding cafes that can sit a group of more than 4 or 5 people is often difficult in Japan but this place has a long table and even has lots of sofas that can accommodate bigger groups. Not a lot of tourists have discovered this place too so it’s not crowded at all. High ceiling, a lot of natural light, plants, vintage furniture, vinyl records, great music. Would definitely go here again if I’m ever in the area.

Can't really describe it will. It's just super cozy, and decent servings. I love it. Totally recommended.

Good coffee and nice scones. Also a very nice environment, pleasant music and good service
