Sakura, Chiba, Japan｜ちいさな箱cafe

One of the better cheesecakes I had in Japan.

I used it for lunch. Since I was traveling with my dog, I was allowed to sit on the terrace. There is only one terrace seat, so if you are bringing your pet, I think it is better to call to check availability before going. It's a small restaurant, not limited to terrace seating, so I think it's better to make a reservation in advance if possible. The location is difficult to find, but you can navigate with Google Maps. There are 5 parking spaces on site. If you are coming on foot from Sakura Castle Ruins Park, the shortcut is to go through the irises garden. The food is delicious, but you can't go wrong with the sweets, so I highly recommend them. It seems that take-out is also possible, and some customers were taking out coffee and sweets. It seems like it's run by a couple, but it's a cozy cafe with always nice customer service.

Used at tea time and ordered lemon pound cake, matcha macaron and iced coffee. The top is crispy and the bottom is moist, and the lemon flavor is soothing. The matcha macaroon was also rich and delicious. Water will be self-serve. The cafe is located in a residential area, and the signboard is a landmark.
