Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan｜Starbucks Coffee - Tsukuba Gakuen-no-Mori

I've visited on Sunday.. lots of people just hanging out for the coffee and free wifi.

Recently a lot of Starbucks are putting in smaller, even tiny, tables when refurbishing, so I was pleasantly surprised to see that this brand new shop has the larger size tables of before. There are about 8 or 9 two-person square tables, in addition to four 4-person round tables. The 2-person tables have plenty of room to use my laptop and books, papers, etc. at the same time. There is a long “community” table with slightly higher chairs and electrical outlets for those who want to plug in their devices. On both sides toward the back there are sections of lounge-type seating that looks comfortable for kicking back with friends or family, but the tables are smallish. The staff is a nice mix of veterans from area shops and new employees. It’s great to live in Tsukuba where such a spacious, comfortable Starbucks is possible.
