Tama, Tokyo, Japan｜Yuu

Delicious food and drinks, my first stop in Tokyo for dinner. The chef is very friendly and clearly a master of his craft. Westerners should definitely go with a guide or bring something to translate with as the menu is all in Japanese, however there are photos available.

Walk from Tama Center Station towards Tama Central Park, and after passing through the park, you will reach a quiet residential area. Yu is a pocket-friendly restaurant that serves mainly fish dishes such as sushi, as well as Japanese dishes such as soba and udon. On this day, I ate a sashimi platter for lunch. Four kinds of fresh sashimi came with one soup and three side dishes. The sardines were fatty and very delicious, and I felt fresh. Miso soup is ara-jiru, which is rich in dashi stock and condensed with the umami of fish. Perhaps other menus are also picky. It seems that you can have a large serving of rice for free. It was such a delicious fish.
