I went to "Ikoi" in Shin-Yamashita. It's not a great place in terms of location, but there were a lot of customers. The first thing you notice when you enter the store is that many people are ordering take-out lunch boxes. In the kitchen, a couple is busy cooking. As soon as we were seated, we were served cold barley tea. The store isn't very large, but it seems like everything has been taken care of. Order a large loin cutlet and set meal, and it will be served in about 15 minutes. As mentioned in many reviews, a large loin cutlet was brought to me with a heaping amount of cabbage. The miso soup came with white miso seaweed, a small bowl of cold tofu and Chinese cabbage with yuzu-flavored pickles. The katsu was soft and had a strong pork flavor. A large serving of cabbage is quite filling. There are three types of rock salt and sauce on the table, and the sauce is smooth and delicious. And the rice was fine with free refills. Meanwhile, more and more takeout orders are coming in. Despite the location, I felt that the store was loved by the local community. The pork cutlet was also very delicious, so I would like to stop by again! ️ Addendum The tonkatsu was so delicious that I asked, ``Is the pork in this cutlet made from some brand of pork?'' and the staff member answered, ``It's domestically produced, but it's regular pork.'' While the quality of the ingredients is important, I realized that cooking with all your heart and soul is even more important.

First visit in June. I ordered a loin cutlet set meal and a small fillet cutlet set meal. This is not the so-called trendy pork cutlet. The meat was slightly pink, which wasn't clever at all. Miso soup, rice, and delicious miso soup. Traditional tonkatsu with delicious pickles. I'm so happy because it's only 1,100 yen including tax.

Ordered the fillet set meal. It seems that the price has risen slightly since February (coronavirus, high raw materials, and support for the judgment of the store). It's hard to tell from the photo, but it's pretty thick. I think it's fried at just the right temperature and time, and the inside is cooked, but it's a little reddish. Less fat. It's tender and the flavor of the meat spreads. And a mountain of cabbage (^^)
