When I looked at the menu, I caught my eye and decided to pick some nanban pickles made from dried horse mackerel and a small bowl of whitebait as snacks. Nanbanzuke has a smoky flavor with the aroma of dried fish, making it refreshing and perfect on a hot day like today. The beer goes on. When the snacks were gone, the set meal was brought out. I had a dried mackerel set meal. Because it's charcoal-grilled, the skin is crispy and the charring is delicious. The meat is cooked plump and yet juicy. The mackerel is thick and the salt really hits your eyes, making you want rice. I was able to fully enjoy the Japanese set meal with salad side dishes, miso soup, and pickles. My partner's dried horse mackerel was similarly plump and juicy, and I could feel the sweetness of the horse mackerel. It's a small space with 3-4 counter seats, 2 table seats for 2 people, and 1 seat for 4 people. What was pleasant was that there was no sound when clearing the table or washing dishes.
