The batter is light and the fat from the Aikawa pork melts through, making it very delicious. The rice is from Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture, and is well-cooked and delicious. I don't think big eaters or all-you-can-eat lovers should come here. Cost performance is essentially "value for money", First, try the tonkatsu set meal and enjoy the deliciousness. I think it would be a good idea to think about whether or not to have a loin cutlet set meal or fillet cutlet set meal after that. Not only is it delicious, but the fact that you feel so light after eating it is proof that you've eaten quality ingredients.

Pork from Aikawa has a sweet fat, and it was my favorite taste of tonkatsu. I didn't need the sauce because I could fully enjoy the original taste of the meat. I got it with mustard and salt😋 Gohan, miso soup, and pickled cucumber were all delicious.

I have been immersed in the meat industry for 35 years. More than 30 years ago, a senior butcher took me to this restaurant and I was blown away by how delicious it was. Since that day, I have eaten many kinds of loin cutlets at many different restaurants, but I have never found anything that surpasses Kanehide's loin cutlet. No matter how hard you try to imitate it, you can't surpass it. I wonder if a general can still go to a butcher shop and choose a carcass with his own eyes from a large selection of carcasses? I believe that the uncompromising connoisseurship, reliable technique, fine texture of Aikawa pork, and the deliciousness of the fat that melts when cooked are all incorporated into that thick pork cutlet. I haven't been there for a long time because I live far away, but I will visit Kanehide again, who serves me the best tonkatsu in a town that has many fond memories!
