More Comments at Google MapKineya homemade noodles has many branches even at the airport. Their udon is really good. I like the chewy and somewhat gummy texture of the udon noodles. I tried the waxy noodles which is made of seawood. It is very sticky like natto and I heard it is healthy. They serve cold brewed tea which is unlimited. From outside, it looks like a fine dining restaurant but the prices are affordable. Check if there is a Kinegaya near your place. Definitely worth trying!
I visited on the weekend. The menu is extensive and the portions are large and satisfying. The store staff was attentive and had good customer service. We recommend the ice cream that changes with the seasons. I would like to come again. I have added a photo from a later visit.
You can eat Kansai-style udon. The other day, I went to Kineya in the basement of Kyoto Station, but I discovered that there is also one in Shin-Koshigaya, so I visited there today. I went with my favorite, the chicken tempura udon. Kansai style udon It's insanely good.
