This place is truly a gem and a must visit for any tonkatsu (breaded, deep-fried pork cutlet) lover! The place is small and unassuming, but it's food will more than impress you with its deep and rich flavors. The first time I went, I saw that they had tonkatsu with cheese. That sounded like a match made in heaven to me so I didn't hesitate to order it. I would have been more than happy with just the tonkatsu and cheese, but the dish was hiding a secret! Between the pork cutlet and the cheese, there were shiso (perilla mint) leaves! What an amazing addition to an already superb dish! The unique flavors of the shiso leaves complimented the fattiness and greasiness of the cheese and pork cutlet perfectly. It made something heavy appear refreshing to the palate. I absolutely loved it. While the pork cutlet is the star of the show, they also provide tonjiru (pork and miso soup). It's rich, delicious and warms your soul. What makes it even better is that you can ask for free refills of the soup and the salad so you are definitely getting your money's worth. This place is out of the way, yes, but it deserves a visit. Make sure to bring cash!

Fantastic restaurant. Relaxed atmosphere, great food, excellent prices, and friendly staff. Seating includes low tables on tatami as well as chairs and full height tables. It can be quite busy around lunch time, but there is also a take out window which is fairly quick and easy.

In Tokyo, pork cutlets that are deep-fried in low-temperature oil, leaving a reddish tinge in the center of the meat, seem to be popular. . . The meat is lukewarm, the clothing is unreliable, and it is something that old people cannot accept. On that point, the meat is thoroughly fried and cooked to the core, maximizing the umami flavor, the batter is crispy and pleasant, and the rice is cooked to a firmness that allows it to bounce back and forth. It's the best combination. What's more, there is a wide variety of fried foods. It's a wonderful shop! Although the exterior looks a little strange, it is proof that it has been loved by the locals and has been around for a long time. Sorry to bother you again.
