Hikone, Shiga, Japan｜Sushihama

Delicious and very cost-effective, you can have a rich set meal without spending more than 1,000 yuan. It's not far from the station, and many locals are dining here, so it should have a good reputation! Worth a try

I stopped by for lunch on the way back from Hikone Castle. Hikorodon was delicious. The stew of beef tendon is topped with red konjac, shiso leaves, pickled ginger, mizuna, green onions, and hot egg, making it very satisfying. It is also a nice service that they provide a tea kettle. The menu is extensive, and the restaurant feels cozy and is loved by locals, including office workers and Hijikata's uncle. There was a very cute elderly mother, who must have been part of the shop's family, who greeted me with a smile. It's hot in the summer and I'm worried about being alone at home, so it was really comforting to feel like I was being watched over at the store (*´˘`*)

All dishes are handmade. At this price, I wouldn't be surprised to find a salad like the one sold in a Gyōsu○ bag, but it's homemade! Normally I would leave some of the leftovers, but they were all delicious. I went there three nights in a row (lol). On the last day, I was happy to see them off outside the store. Sushihama is the best choice for drinks in Hikone.
