A small restaurant randomly found in ggmap but extremely good. Feel like having lunch at grandma's house. The menu has only a set menu of (horse intestine) stew and an optional Tonkatsu. The Tonkatsu is surprisingly extremely delicious. The restaurant is owned by a grandma. After you order, she would cook and call you to pick up the food from the counter. Then after you finish eating, you need to return the tray at the counter.

The whole week trip in Japan, this has been one of the memorable meals I had. Was famished from traveling and decided to get lunch nearby. Unexpectedly, I found this on Google Map and decided to try it out. It's a really quaint place run by oba-san and she can whip you up the most wholesome meal ever. Really delicious with the unique stewed horse innards and satisfying set meal. Not to mention it's also extremely affordable. Please be patient as she is alone in running everything. Very hardworking and sweet lady.

Decided to chance it out with this little home-restaurant, and boy was it a great choice. Welcomed and run by a little Oba-san, she was endearing and cooked a little scrumptious feast. Menu-wise you're limited to only a Tonkatsu set meal w/ Offals for ¥1,000 or Offals set meal for ¥500. An extra ¥100 for a large portion of rice and beer for ¥500. This quaint, unassuming home-restaurant is a definite must try if you're in the area for a little piece of home cooked Japan in Kawaguchiko area.
