The owner was really kind and let us in after the last order time (1:30pm). The Hamo Tempura and Tachiuo Teishoku (with Ume and Shiso leaf) were so GOOD! The daily lunch was over, so if I do go again I'll try to have it. The owner speaks English, and he recommended many places to visit. 5 stars for sure!

I visited for lunch in conjunction with a visit to nearby Toshogu Shrine. I had to wait a bit because it was during Golden Week, but it turned out to be a great decision. I had a set meal of fried cutlassfish with fragrant plums, and to my surprise, even though it was tempura, the cutlassfish was fluffy and delicious. The side dishes were light and well-balanced, without overpowering the main dish. There are two points that caught my attention. ① I was waiting in line, but it was very difficult to understand the order, and I was reluctant to use verbal commands to the busy staff, so I thought I'd like a register to fill out the waiting list. ② There was very little rice in the set meal, so I would be happy if I could get a large serving or refill. Thank you for the delicious lunch. This is a store I would like to visit again.

I went to visit shrines and temples in Wakayama City. When I was looking for a place to have lunch, I saw the words "Akira" and decided to try it. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great, and I ordered the conger conger tempura set meal. The food was also extremely delicious. I was very impressed when they replaced it with a mini seafood bowl. This is recommended. I was lucky with the last pair of today.
